Project
Let’s do it better! is a project funded by EU Lifelong Learning Grundtvig Programme.
Let’s do it better! aims to improve the quality of teaching in order to strengthen integration processes in society and the labor market among learners. These tasks, although different in every organisation, contribute to eliminate the problem of social exclusion. Through a multilateral exchange of experience, we plan to improve the quality of our services for students as representative part of various social groups. The project aims to propose and promote popular not-formal education as a tool for target group’s empowerment in order to eliminate social exclusion.
Our goal is to learn from each other and share best practices, working in partners’ own country and during international meetings. Meetings in various participating countries will allow us to confront on a European level on informal learning and to learn mutually which could be the best practices related to adult training in vulnerable social groups and coming from the margins of society.
We want to build a “good advice” guide about methods and techniques based on people education and empowerment to train vulnerable social groups in marginal social contexts. We will also be able to watch similar organizations in action and learn how they deal with activities very similar to ours, both meeting with project’s partners and other organizations not involved in the project in partner countries. That is definitely an added value to this project. We will share knowledge improving our activities and fostering growth of new services for socially excluded people.
Three international seminars will take place during project life. European Partners and local society will have the opportunity to gather up and share good practices in the context of not-formal education.
First meeting was held in Genova (Italy) in October 2011, managed by the project coordinator LA COMUNITÀ.
