“La Comunità” is a not-for-profit social co-operative founded in 1979, its main task is development and management of communities for children and kids at risk of social exclusion, in convention with the Municipality of Genoa.

Our name is not only the result of that initial experience: the word “Comunità” reminds us of the idea of “solidarity, sense of belonging, participation and relationship”.
Our task is to strengthen the social involvement, the willing to stay close to people and “make it our job”. We do all this by guaranteeing continuity in performance, developing a remark about educative job, investing in selection, training and supervision of our staff.
We currently offer, in convention with the Municipality of Genoa and other public and private institutions, a wide range of educational and training opportunities for children, kids, adults:
• Residential communities, daily socio-cultural centers and family educational assistance for children and kids
• Listening, supporting and counseling kids and adolescents
• Training courses, counseling and labor  market integration projects for kids and adults
• Family consultancies
What keeps our services linked together is: attention and respect for clients, active listening of problem and clients’ skills valorization, development of path for personal growth, social integration, solid expertise in working with public bodies, schools, families and other educational agencies, attitude to share and widen our co-operative network.
